O cd Uma Beleza Estranha, do cantor, compositor e arranjador Daniel Taubkin, é o terceiro álbum de sua carreira. Daniel busca, com a voz e o piano, a essência, o coração das canções. Para isso, convidou Arrigo Barnabé e Benjamim Taubkin para que, mais do que acompanhá-lo, eles compartilhassem de um universo musical de imagens oníricas, diáfanas e puramente românticas. Valsas, sambas-canções, músicas fellinianas e jobinianas; a voz de Daniel passeia por ritmos distintos, dissonâncias, e ganha uma tessitura de sentimentos, cores e sons que revelam um intérprete maduro e completo que, com propriedade, amplia a emoção da arte de cantar. A beleza do disco de Daniel Taubkin reside não apenas na escolha de um repertório refinado, tampouco na companhia de músicos competentes - o cantor conta ainda com participações especiais de Teco Cardoso e Rodolfo Stroeter. 	A Strange Beauty, the new album released by the singer, composer, and arranger Dan Taubkin, is basically a quintessential voice and piano project in wich he reaches for the essence, the heart of the songs. With this purpose in mind, Daniel invited the exquisite composer Arrigo Barnabé and great pianist Benjamim Taubkin, his brother, for a unique encounter where they could share a musical universe full of diaphanous, oeniric and purely romantic images. Waltzes, slow sambas, classical vanguard, fellinian and jobinian songs: Daniel Taubkin's voice strolls through distinct rythms, dissonances, and gains a texture of feelings, colors and sounds wich unveils a mature and fully developed singer, capable of extending the emotions to beyond his singing skills. The beauty of Daniel Taubkin's cd resides not only on the refined repertoire or due the company of fine musicians - such as the special guests, Teco Cardoso and Rodolfo Stroeter -, but its also sensed by the impressions and sensations left after each audition: that the music has led us through a world of dream and magic, where everything is so unexpectable and at the same time, so familiar. And maybe, that's the reason why it is of such a rare, strange beauty.
